SEAA 2021 Online Student Conference

June 26-28, 2021 (KST)

Thank you to all who submitted abstracts for the SEAA Online Student Conference and to those of you who encouraged your students to submit their work. We’ve had a great turn out—over 110 submissions—covering a wide range of topics and approaches to East Asian archaeology.

We will be posting a schedule of sessions soon. The conference will take place on June 26-28 KST, co-hosted virtually on Zoom by SEAA and Kyungpook National University.

Katrinka Reinhart
Acting Secretary
Society for East Asian Archaeology

Deadline: April 1, 2021

We are accepting proposals (175 words maximum) for presentations or short films on all topics that highlight the growth and depth of East Asian archaeology in Korea, China, and Japan and adjacent regions, such as Southeast Asia, the Pacific, North Asia, Central Asia and the East Asian diaspora. Examples of possible topics include, but are not limited to: scientific approaches to the archaeology of East Asia, theoretical themes that crosscut geographical boundaries, and studies of particular sites, regions, and cultures.

The length of individual talks should be approximately 20 minutes. The conference language is English.

For any questions about the virtual conference, contact the SEAA Secretary, Dr. Katrinka Reinhart, at secretary@seaa-web.org.
