Organized by European Association for Asian Art and Archaeology and University of Ljubljana
The EAAA looks forward to welcoming you to the online panels. The talks will begin on Tuesday, 5 October 2021 at 13:00 (CEST) and will take place at the same time each week until the last panel on 30 November 2021.
The topics of the panel discussions are diverse and cross-cultural as they discuss different aspects in different regions of Asia, hopefully contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the wider spread of certain ideas, notions and concepts. Broader topics include Buddhist art, painting, printing, photography, architecture, and iconography. Several panels also address the collecting and preservation of Asian art in museums around the world. Presentations will be given by senior and junior scholars and will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas between people with different approaches, experiences and backgrounds.
All panels and individual presentations were submitted for the 3rd EAAA conference, which was postponed to 2023 due to the Covid -19 pandemic. Many accepted applicants have agreed to present their research in a slightly different format as an EAAA online event. We are grateful to all for presenting their research at the online event.
To participate in the panels as a speaker and/or audience member, please register using the links provided with each weekly panel. Please click here for more details.
